Cycling for a Great Cause: Wheeling Forward

Join me on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 2pm for a fundraising Cycling Class at Cycle Bar – 65 Bay Street in Jersey City, NJ 07302, followed by a FREE wine tasting, sponsored by M. Chapoutier Wines.

All proceeds will benefit Wheeling Forward, a non-profit organization dedicated to help recently disabled people that lack the support and resources.

As people adapt to life with a long-term disability, Wheeling Forward provides mentorship, advocacy and support services they need to reach their goals to experience life to the fullest. Co-Founder, Yannick Benjamin is known as ‘The Wheelchair Sommelier.’ Yannick is the Head Sommelier at the prestigious University Club of New York. After an unfortunate accident that left Yannick paralyzed from the waist down, he was more determined than ever to conquer the wine world again. With the support of his family and friends, he regained strength and a sense of normalcy in his life, but he understood others were not as fortunate and wanted to give back by founding Wheeling Forward.

Time: From 2 until 2:45pm (Arrive 10 minutes early for check-in. Shoes are provided)

2:45pm-3:30pm: FREE Wine tasting sponsored by M. Chapoutier Wines.

Sign up instructions are as follow: 

1) Go to jerseycity.cyclebar.com 

2) Go to “View Schedule” & scroll to November 9th and select Wheeling Forward CycleGiving Ride at 2pm 

3) Click pick a spot, existing riders’ login to account, new riders will be prompted to create a profile

4) Select donation amount and purchase, then select bike #.
