Bootcamp for a Great Cause

From left to right: Stephanie Ray (Trainer extraordinaire), Yours Truly, Vicki Denig (Wine Writer and avid Soul Cycle spinner)

Get your sweat on at our Virtual Fundraiser Bootcamp on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 12pm Eastern, hosted by yours truly (aka: me), along with Vicki Denig (full-time freelance wine writer for Food & Wine, Beverage Media, and VinePair to name a few), and trainer extraordinaire, Stephanie Ray (Cycling star at Cycle Bar in Jersey City, NJ).

No equipment needed for this rejuvenating 45-minutes workout. Join us from the comfort of your own home, winery, office, or wherever you may be. Just wear comfortable clothes.

You can register and/or donate HERE. A Zoom link will be provided upon registration.

All proceeds will benefit Wheeling Forward, a non-profit organization dedicated to help recently disabled individuals that lack the support system and resources to relearn the skills needed to tackle the day-to-day events that we normally take for granted; such as going to work, school, or even to the grocery store. Wheeling Forward also can supply wheelchairs for those in need.

As people adapt to life with a long-term disability, Wheeling Forward provides them with the mentorship, advocacy, and support services they need to reach their goals and the mental and physical wellness necessary for an active and productive lifestyle. Wheeling forward even serves as a community center. All are welcome!

Co-Founder of Wheeling Forward, Yannick Benjamin, is known as ‘The Wheelchair Sommelier.’ Yannick is the Head Sommelier at the prestigious University Club of New York, proud owner of Contento restaurant in Harlem, NYC, and let’s not forget an Advanced Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. After an unfortunate accident that left Yannick paralyzed from the waist down, he was more determined than ever to conquer the wine world all over again. With the support of his loving family and friends, he regained his strength and was able to achieve a sense of normalcy. However, Yannick understood others were not as fortunate and lacked the support mechanism that he had.  His desire to help those in need ultimately led Yannick to co-found Wheeling Forward. Won’t you too help those in need find their very own support mechanism? All you need to do is donate, sweat, and have fun.

Help make a difference!

We look forward to seeing you virtually on May 7th and feel free to share away.

Cheers,

Anna
